Welcome!
This website functions as a resource page for engagement in research using Affect Control Theory (ACT). You will find data, methodology, and resources developed for and by the Affect Control Theory community of researchers and educators. We invite you to explore!
Affect Control Theory is a computational theory of culture. ACT and it’s related theories make testable predictions about behavior, emotion, and social interpretation in the context of interpersonal interaction.
This site is intended to be a companion to David Heise’s ACT site at Indiana University and duplicates some of the information from that site, with permission.
If you have any questions, please reach out to website manager Madeline Williams at MRWilliams@uga.edu.
